The Taster’s Table is an intimate gathering series exploring the crops that define life at Bloomstead. Each event highlights a single harvest through thoughtfully prepared small plates, curated drink pairings, and stories from the farm.

The Taster’s Table: Honey is of the most anticipated gatherings of the season.

Join us for an extraordinary evening celebrating one of the farm’s most unique annual harvests: pure lavender honey.

For a brief period each summer, our honeybees forage almost exclusively from the blooming lavender fields at Bloomstead, producing a honey unlike any other. Because weather, bloom conditions, and the season itself influence every harvest, each year’s honey develops its own distinct character.

Guests will enjoy a guided tasting featuring three vintages of Bloomstead Lavender Honey alongside a selection of exceptional varietal honeys presented by our award-winning beekeeper, Doug Koltermann of Koltermann Farms. Throughout the evening, you’ll learn about honeybees, honey production, pollination, and the remarkable journey from flower to hive while having the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with Doug.

Tapas-style bites, thoughtfully selected to complement the honeys will be served, along with a signature cocktail and mocktail created especially for the occasion.

Whether you are a longtime honey enthusiast or simply curious about the miraculous process, this promises to be a memorable evening of flavor, learning, and connection.
